KF Huset’s film programme is finally starting. Five participants from all over Västerbotten will each develop a project on the theme of sparsely populated areas and identity over the course of a year.
The Academy will meet once a week in the premises of KF Huset in Klöse. Through workshops and seminars the participants will learn the basics of filmmaking, storytelling and video art connected to research on rural challenges. Some of those challenges are connected to forestry, abandoned farms, depopulation and the absence of diverse representation in media, especially women, hbtq and minorities.
The format will be based on theory combined with practice, including community based workshops, using the camera as a tool for artistic expressions.
